Not wanting to waste a beautiful sunny Sunday we packed up the car with a picnic and a change of clothes and headed down to Ocean Beach.
We were 'blown away' when we came over the ridge and was met with this beautiful sight. We could see the snow covered mountains on the South Island. Even Oscar gasped at the sight. They seemed so close and looked as if they were floating in the sea. Charlie and Sadie thought it was Antarctica.
Another amazing sight was a drove of wild pigs on the beach. We have never seen such a thing before. Watching them they seemed to be foraging for food, seaweed and dead fish. I think they were use to people and Ian got quite close to one. He even crept up behind one and touched it's flank which spooked it and it gave a delightful squeal.
One of the many kiwi cribs nestled under the cliffs.
Beath taking beauty

Lots of adventuring to be had.
