At the start of the year Sadie and I had lots of fun making clothes peg dolls here. They have lasted well and she still has lots of fun with them.
We thought we would make something similar for Christmas presents for family and friends. Here is a couple I made myself to hang on our Christmas tree. I used some vintage doilies and bits of scrap ribbon. So pretty.
Here's how to:
First I prepped the pegs by painting the hair and torso with white paint.
Then using a hot glue gun we attached a small piece of ribbon around the torso.
The children used paper doilies, we folded the doily into half and then half again and snipped the point off to make the skirt. This is also attached by using the hot glue gun.
Another piece of ribbon attached to the back of the fairy so it can be hung on the Xmas tree.
Then a painted face. I used the end of a match stick for the lips and then a black permanent pen for the eyes.
Done.
These are the ones the children have made for family and friends. Very sweet.
