Had a great shopping haul yesterday. I'm lucky that Ian likes to haunt the 2nd handshops too, his interest is vinyl records. The kids are well trained, Charlie gravitates to the toys and at this stage Sadie is happy to sit in her pushchair and play with her feet and smile at the counter staff.
The woolen haul ready to be dyed
The handmade dresses I found for Sadie
I was desperately trying to dry at least one of them this morning for Sadie to wear to daycare. I'm not a huge fan of smocking, but can appreciate the work that goes into it, anyway the material is very sweet. The little white dress with the bright embroidered flower is my favorite and the gingham print dress with the lace hem is quite cute.
On top of all that these shoes arrived in the mail for Sadie. They are so soft and easy to wear and of course, devine!
To finish off a productive day I have these pieces ready to list on my Trade Me, Felt, and Etsy shops. Haven't quite decided which pieces will go where yet, the more places they are the more exposure the label has, which equels to more sales.... I hope.
Sadly the pink and the white hooded cardigans are made from acrylic, but they are so well knitted I couldn't pass them by. The red/pinky one is pure wool and it soaked up the red dye beautifully, think I may keep it for Sadie.
The big and the small of it all
